"The public`s inputs are reasonable and thus we have to find the best possible solution for the project in order to reduce traffic jams," the minister stated here on Friday.
Rajasa made these remarks during his stopover at the Ahmad Yani airport en route to Pekalongan where he will attend a seminar on Innovative Policy to Speed Up and Expand Economic Development in Autonomic Regions.
"The presence of low cost green cars should reduce the use of fuel oil, green house gas effects, and help follow the road map for the development of a national car," Rajasa, who was accompanied by Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, said.
He explained that national car components should continue to increase by 100 percent in order to cut back a reliance on imports.
Meanwhile, Governor Ganjar Pranowo pointed out that the government should calculate the losses caused by traffic congestion, which can be reduced through a government policy aimed at implementing low cost green cars.
"There is no need to hurry. It is better to use domestic cars," the governor noted.
