Host taekwondo fighter Aghniny Haque won the first gold medal from the taekwondo event after beating Thirunakarasu Shakila of Malaysia 15-5 in the women`s under-46-kg division.
"I cannot speak too much. What is clear, I am very happy with this victory," she said after the match.
"Last night I cried when I remembered that I must win for Indonesia," she said.
Bronze medals in the women`s under-46-kg division went to Ali Aya of Egypt and Tahirli Turkana of Azerbaijan respectively.
In the men`s under-58-kg division, host taekwondo fighter Aggie Seftyan beat Mohammad Khalifah of Jordan 8-7 to win a gold medal.
"What can I only do is to pray to Allah. I won the match because of prayers," Aggie said after the match.
"My opponent was too strong. I could win the match thanks to self-confidence and prayers," he said.
"He was a sort of attacker and moved very quickly. But I knew that. I learned the style of how he played the game," he said.
On the second day of taekwondo event on Sunday, five gold medals were put to competition in the men`s under-54-kg class, women`s under-53-kg class, women`s under-46-kg class, men`s under-58-kg class and women`s under-57-kg class.
Earlier, on Saturday, Indonesia`s male taekwondo fighter won a gold medal in the poomsae event.
In the men`s under-58-kg class Mohammed Al Melghagh of Morocco and Evas Omer Ramazani of Turkey won bronze medals respectively.
