Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez welcomed their son yesterday."Los Angeles (ANTARA News/CNA/AFP) - Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry has given birth to a son, her spokeswoman said Sunday. It is her second child and her first with French actor Olivier Martinez.
"Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez welcomed their son yesterday," the spokeswoman, Meredith O`Sullivan Wasson, told AFP in an e-mail, without providing any further details.
Berry and Martinez, both 47, married in July, according to `People` magazine.
The couple met each other in 2010 on the set of the film "Dark Tide."
Berry has been married twice before and has a five-year-old daughter, Nahla, with Canadian model Gabriel Aubry.
A source at the hospital told `People` magazine on Saturday night, "Olivier hasn`t left Halle`s side. Nahla visited her baby brother earlier today."
Since Berry and Aubry`s separation, they have repeatedly tussled over access and visiting rights for their daughter.
On Thanksgiving Day last November, Martinez and Aubry brawled on the doorstep of Berry`s home after her ex turned up to see his daughter.
Aubry was left with cuts and bruises including a black eye.
Berry was the first African-American actress to win a best lead actress Oscar in 2002 for "Monster`s Ball". Her latest movie is the thriller "The Call".
Martinez`s last movie was "Dark Tide", which was released in March 2012 in the United States.
