"At least 181 flights have been cancelled and 59 others have been rescheduled by several airways. The airport will be closed from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. local time," said Public Relations Officer of PT Angkasa Pura I at Ngurah Rai Airport Sherly Yuanita on Tuesday.
According to her, passengers have gathered at domestic and international flight gates.
Despite the cancellation of flights by Angkasa Pura I officer, several stores at the airport remained open for passengers.
Meanwhile, the police and the Indonesian military secured several areas in Bali, particularly along the streets in Nusa Dua and Ngurah Rai Airport.
The police raised the guard after previous road block incidents carried out by fanatic football fans to the Russian President Vladimir Putin entourage from Ngurah Rai Airport to Nusa Dua area.
