Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono received Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at Merdeka Palace here on Friday.

Prime Minister Singh accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Gursharan Kaur, and his delegation arrived at the presidential palace around 3.30 pm and were accorded a state welcome.

The two heads of government and their delegations held bilateral talks before cooperation agreements in various fields were signed.

The Indian delegation included Trade and Industry Minister Anand Sharma, Foreign Minister Salman Khursid, Ambassador to Indonesia Gurjit Singh and several other government officials and business leaders.

The Indonesian delegation included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa, Coordinating Minister for Security, Political and Legal Affairs Djoko Suyanto and Coordinating Minister for People`s Welfare Agung Laksono. The meeting was also attended by several cabinet ministers and other government officials.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Singh had laid a wreath at the Kalibata Heroes` Cemetery. He is scheduled to leave Indonesia on Saturday morning.(*)
