Samarinda, E Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - Head of the police administrative unit of North Penajam Paser of East Kalimantan Adj Sr Comr Joudy Mailoor has signed a pact of integrity as a police oath not to be involved in any forms of crime.

The signing on Thursday was made in front of community and youth leaders pledging self denial against committing corruption, collusion and nepotism.

"Police officers may not be involved in any crimes directly or indirectly as police officer are community protectors and law enforcers," Joudy Mailoor.

He said the signing of pact of integrity took place at once in all police administrative units all over the country.

"Not only police leaders but all police members in North Penajam Paser have to sign the pact of integrity that we all have the same commitment," he said.

He said community and youth leaders were present to witness the ceremony that all members of the community could report to the authorities any crimes committed by police officers. (*)
