Inflation in the same month was 0.16 percent in 2012, and 0.12 percent in 2011 and 0.45 percent in 2008, BPS chief Suryamin said here on Friday.
Cumulatively, the country`s inflation was 7.66 percent in the first ten months of the year with year-on-year inflation at 8.32 percent in October.
Suryamin attributed the inflation more to price hikes of certain commodities including foodstuff, housing , utilities, transport, and financial services.
The highest inflation rate was recorded in the North Sumatra`s western coastal city of Sibolga with inflation of 1.25 percent and h the highest deflation of 3.82 percent was recorded in Ambon, Maluku.(*)
