Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Corruption eradication efforts can start with the smallest community, the family, stated National Family Planning and Population Board (BKKBN) Chairman Fasli Jalal, here on Thursday.

"Anti-corruption culture can be inculcated early within the family," Fasli noted, adding that to implement anti-corruption campaigns, BKKBN has initiated cooperation with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

He noted that BKKBN has been cooperating with KPK to familiarize the National Family Planning and Population Board, as well as the wider communities, with anti-corruption campaigns.

According to him, BKKBN will include anti-corruption message in every talk show on family empowerment, population and family planning, in addition to broadcasting short dialog and movies based on corruption eradication efforts within the family.

Meanwhile, deputy chairman of KPK Bambang Widjojanto stated recently that the Corruption Eradication Commission was seeking to give a deterrent effect on corrupt people, a breakthrough in the fight against corruption in the country, one of the worlds most corrupt nations.

"Adoption of the law on money laundering is part of the breakthrough to stamp out corruption and to recover state losses inflicted by corrupt people, as much as possible," Bambang explained.
