Died at home surrounded by his family."London (ANTARA News/CNA/AFP) - Roger Lloyd-Pack, who played dimwit Trigger in "Only Fools and Horses", one of Britains best-loved television comedies, has died aged 69, his agent said.
The actor, whose daughter is actress Emily Lloyd, had pancreatic cancer and "died at home surrounded by his family", said agent Maureen Vincent.
Besides his role as dopey road-sweeper Trigger, Lloyd-Pack, who was born into an acting family, appeared in dozens of films -- notably "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" and "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" -- and television shows.
He was also a successful stage actor, appearing regularly at the replica Shakespeares Globe in central London.
Lloyd-Pack was also politically active and was a staunch supporter of the Labour party; and was regularly seen around London marching in support of the many causes he championed.
But he will always be best remembered for his part in "Only Fools and Horses", the show about flashy south London market trader Derek "Del Boy" Trotters attempts to get rich alongside his gullible younger brother Rodney.
A running gag in the series was Triggers insistence on calling Rodney "Dave", where he would quip, "Alright, Dave?"
The show ran for seven series from 1981 to 1991, with occasional Christmas specials until 2003. At their peak, more than a third of the British population would tune in.
Some of Del Boys phrases, such as "Lovely Jubbly", are still used endlessly around the world by people trying to sell things to British tourists.
