About the Japan Sewage Works Association
The JSWA was launched in April 1964 with the integration of the National Sewage Works Development Conference and the sewage division of the Japan Water Service Association. With public-sector organizations involved in operating or planning sewage businesses as its regular members, the JSWA began a wide range of activities as a national, unified sewage organization. These include studies into sewage and working for the widespread construction of sewers to create a pristine water environment for Japan's rivers, lakes, and seas.
