Palembang, S Sumatra (ANTARA News) - Director General of Small and Medium Industry Euis Saedah stated that the government plans to subsidize small businesspeople that purchased machines for small and medium industry development.

"We will provide assistance and subsidy for people who want to buy machines for the development of small and medium industry," the Director General noted, during a dialog on the development of small and medium industries, here on Thursday.

She added that if the machines were imported, the government will provide a 40 percent subsidy while machines bought at home will fetch a subsidy of about 45 percent.

Euis pointed out that the subsidy will be provided in an effort to help the development of industries in various parts of the country.
