He is being questioned as a witness for suspect former Democrat Party Chairman Anas Urbaningrum."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questions former Democrat Party Treasurer Sartono Hutomo as witness in the alleged corruption case of the Hambalang sports center, West Java province, and other cases, here on Tuesday.
"He is being questioned as a witness for suspect former Democrat Party Chairman Anas Urbaningrum," KPKs Chief of Information Division Priharsa Nugraha stated here on Tuesday.
Sartono, a cousin of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, arrived in the KPK building for the interrogation session on Tuesday morning but gave no comment to the press.
Apart from Sartono, the anti graft commission also questioned Henny Susanti, a staff from the construction division at PT Adhi Karya, the company assigned to build the Hambalang sports center. KPK also called a member of the House of Representatives from Democrat Party Juhaeni Alie and Democrat Party Chief of Supervisory Board Tiopan Bernhard Silalahi.
In 2012, former Chairman of Democrat Party Anas Urbaningrum was named suspect in an alleged corruption on the construction of Hambalang sports center in West Java province. He was said to have received bribe money, which he had used to finance his candidacy as chairman of the party back in 2010.
Investigations on this case are still in progress.
