Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A delegation led by Xu Bin, the Deputy Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre, recently held a roadshow in Jakarta to promote the 115th Canton Fair, Chinas largest trade fair and one of the largest and best attended in the world.

The 115th Canton Fair will be held from April 15 to May 5, 2014 and is expected to help promote the trade ties between China and Indonesia, a press statement of PRNewswire, said here on Wednesday.

The roadshow was attended by among others representatives from the Chinese Embassy, the Indonesia China Business Council, the Indonesian Ministry of Commerce and the Association of Indonesian Regency Governments (APKASI).

The event was organized by the Indonesia China Business Council headed by Lin Wenguang.

The China Business Council was established in 2002 with the main objective to promote and develop trade ties between Indonesia and China and has worked closely with the Canton Trade Fair.

Indonesian entrepreneurs are expected to take advantage of the Fair and to continue to boost the trade relations between Indonesia and China.

Xu Bin told the press that the 115th Canton Fair would focus on green development, e-commerce and a better quality of exhibitors.

He noted that the 114th Fair attracted 189,646 buyers from 212 countries and regions with over 5600 Indonesian businessmen attending.

Liu Jianjun, spokesman for the 114th Fair, stated that the Fair would continue to "keep up the momentum and make progress, forge ahead and spur innovation, improve exhibition organization and quality as well as provide a sound negotiating environment for exhibitors and buyers."
