"I can assure that those listed as MH370 passengers from Indonesia have never been involved in illegal activities," he told newsmen, following a short meeting at the presidential office.
He said he had called Malaysias police chief and offered help if Malaysia needs information to immediately find the missing aircraft.
He said the Indonesian police force had also prepared data and identification records required to identify victims if the aircraft is later found.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said in the meeting Indonesia had received a request for help to search for the Malaysian Airlines airplane that went missing recently, while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
In connection with Malaysias request for profiles of passengers from Indonesia, he said Indonesia had already provided the information.
He said he had also been told by the coordinating minister for political, security and legal affairs that no suspicious things have been found associated with the Indonesian passengers.
"So, please stop speculative and untrue news reports. I have heard about the news reports and this must be made clear," he added.(*)
