Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono chaired a limited meeting to discuss Indonesian migrant workers in foreign countries, including Satinah, who is under the threat of getting beheaded in Saudi Arabia.

"We discussed about legal assistance to all Indonesian migrant workers abroad," stated President Yudhoyono at his office, here on Wednesday.

The president stated that the government continues to give legal assistance to all problematic migrant workers in accordance with legal rules in the countries where they work.

But concerning Satinahs case, the head of state noted that the government has explained to Saudi Arabia through Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto.

The president pointed out that in the limited meeting, the compensation from Satinah to the victim's family was also discussed.

Present at the meeting were, among others, Djoko Suyanto, Coordinating Minister for Economy Hatta Rajasa, National Police Chief Gen Sutarman, Home Affairs Minister Gamawan Fauzi, State Intelligence Agency Chief Marciano Norman, and Foreign Affairs Ministry officials. (*)
