"I have met with the teams of Hatta Rajasa, as well as other figures," he said here on Saturday, when asked about PDIPs candidate who will serve as Joko Widodos running mate.
Tjahjo said he had met with the teams of Akbar Tanjung, the former general chairman of Golkar Party, Jusuf Kalla, also the former general chairman of Golkar Party, and Chairul Tanjung, a business figure.
Tjahjo said he had also met with others to discuss coalition possibilities, such as with the general chairman of the National Democrats Party (Nasdem), Surya Paloh; the secretary general of Golkar Party, Idrus Marham; the chairman of the Advisory Board of the Moon and Star Party (PBB), Yusril Ihza Mahendra; and the executive chairman of the Democrat Party, Syarif Hasan.
He Tjahjo said he had discussed coalition possibilities, but not in detail, adding that PDIP is still opening opportunities for communications with all political parties.
"Some of the teams have already made an offer, but we are still just considering them," he said.
Tjahyo said the results of the meeting with the teams of party leaders and figures would be used as input for discussion within his party.
He added that the Democrat Party still had yet to determine the criteria and candidate they would choose for vice president, and will wait until after the legislative elections to nominate their candidate.
PDIP has been considered the favorite party to win the legislative elections on April 9.
The party, meanwhile, has named Jakarta governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as its presidential candidate, who has topped the list in surveys of potential presidents.
Indonesia will hold its presidential election on July 9.
