There would be no more chance of money politic, which was rampant in the legislative election in April."Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - A group of young admirers of the late President Abdurrachman Wahid popularly known as Gus Dur declared their support for Jokowi for president with his running mate Jusuf Kalla.
The youths calling themselves Gusdurians said they would join volunteers that gave support for the Jokowi-Kalla (Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla) pair to contest the presidential election on July 9.
"All Gusdurian from all over Indonesia agree to join the Network of Volunteers (Jangkar) for the Jokowi-JK," Gusdurian coordinator Rendra Setiawan said at the Jangkar headquarters here.
The Gusdurians handed over a car for use by the volunteers as a symbol of the support for their Jokowi-JK pair.
Rendra said he hopes the decision taken by the Gusdurians is in line with the spirit representing Gus Dur in fighting for the interest of the people.
"We deliberately made the statement in Yogyakarta, as Gusdurians from all over Indonesia would soon hold a congress in this city," he said.
He said the Gusdurians would help in educating voters before the election and in watching the process of election in their respective areas.

Coordinator of Jangkar Jokowi-JK Niko Langgeng expressed gratitude for the Gusdurians support .
He said Jangkar Jokowi-JK has networks of units in Central Java and East Java .
"Jangkar Jokowi-JK is an independent community having no allegiance with any party. It is purely an initiative of people that want change by supporting civilian leaders," he said.
