"We denounce the Israeli brutality which has killed innocent Palestinians," Chairman of the Aceh Legislative Council, Hasbi Abdullah, said here on Saturday.
The Israeli military aggression against Palestine could not be tolerated. The military assault has led to the death of nearly hundred innocent Palestinians, he said
Therefore, he called on the entire Aceh people to pray for the Palestinians who have suffered under Israeli oppression.
He also called on the Aceh governor and his rank and file to raise funds from the public to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians.
"We call on the Aceh governor to encourage fund-raising activities to help Palestinian Muslims. Moreover, they are also fasting now," he said.
The Israeli attack launched since the start of Ramadan last month has resulted in the deaths of 84 civilians and injuries to 550 others, he said.
The attack has also damaged a number of mosques and thousands of buildings, including the Tahfizh Darul Quran House in Gaza built through donations from Indonesian Muslims. ***1***
