The president calls on the public to demonstrate in an orderly manner as he believes that it is the right of every citizen to protes."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is closely following the televised broadcast of the proceedings of the election dispute hearing at the Constitutional Court (MK) in Istana Negara (presidential palace), on Thursday afternoon.
"The president is directly following (the proceedings) through TV from Istana Negara, and we wait for the final verdict of the MK," Presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha noted.
According to Julian, the president is also examining and monitoring the situation on the field to gauge who is welcoming the decision of the MK. The MK will give its verdict on the election dispute hearing at 2 p.m. local time.
"The president calls on the public to demonstrate in an orderly manner as he believes that it is the right of every citizen to protest," he emphasized.
Julian added that the presidents plan to fly to Papua on a working visit was delayed, and the visit has been rescheduled for tomorrow morning.
