The two arrived at the parliament building together at 9.55am welcome by secretary general of the Peoples Consultative Assembly (MPR), Edi Siregar.
The head of the Jokowi-JK transition team, Rini Soemarno and deputy head Andi Wijajanto were seen in their party.
Jokowi and JK as the two are respectively often called are scheduled to be inaugurated on Monday at the parliament building in a plenary session to be attended by former national leaders, national figures and foreign dignitaries.
MPR chairman Zulkifli Hasan meanwhile said that preparations have 99 percent been finished.
In connection with the event the police have already stationed armored vehicles in front of the parliament building.
National police chief General Sutarman has said that the police would deploy 24,815 personnel to assure the security of the event.
