"My respect is for my best friend, Prabowo Subianto," Jokowi stated while greeting the state guests present during his inauguration ceremony at the legislative building on Monday.
Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla were sworn in as president and vice president during the Peoples Consultative Assemblys (MPRs) plenary session on October 20, 2014.
While Jokowi was saluting the state guests and former presidents and vice presidents, Prabowo immediately stood up and greeted him, while the audience gave applause.
Present at Jokowis presidential inauguration ceremony were former presidents, B.J. Habibie and Megawati Soekarnoputri; former vice presidents, Try Sutrisno and Hamzah Haz; and numerous foreign guests and MPR members.
