Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo will deliver a speech about economic and bureaucratic reforms at the G20 Summit in Brisbane, Australia, on November 15.

"President Jokowi has been specially asked to talk about his experiences of reforms in bureaucracy and economy when he served as the Mayor of Solo (Central Java) and Governor of Jakarta," the Director of Economy and Environment Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Toferry Soetikno, said here on Wednesday.

The speech will be delivered during a closed meeting of the G20 leaders, which will be the opening session of the summit to be held on November 15-16.

During the press meet in Jakarta, Toferry explained that Indonesia would take the issue of maritime development to the G20 forum in a bid to enhance its contribution to global economic growth.

"Under the chairmanship of Australia, the G20 has committed to increase global economic growth by 2 percent. This is in line with Indonesias target of 7 percent domestic growth," he said.

During the press briefing, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Michael Tene also confirmed President Jokowis attendance at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Beijing, China, on November 10-11 and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

The Director of Asia, Pacific and Africa Inter-Regional Cooperation of the ministry, Arto Suryodipuro, said President Jokowi was scheduled to deliver a speech on Indonesias economic vision for the next five years.

"Mr. President (Jokowi) will talk about economic integration and connectivity, which is in line with the APECs theme in Beijing," he noted.

After the APEC Summit, President Jokowi will depart for Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, to attend the 25th ASEAN Summit.

"President Jokowi will attend nine meetings during the ASEAN Summit," said the Director General of ASEAN of the ministry, I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja.

On November 12-13, President Jokowi will also attend an ASEAN meeting with partner countries and organizations, including India, Japan, the United Nations, Australia, East Asian countries, the US, China, and the ASEAN Plus Three Countries (Japan, China, and South Korea).

The APEC, ASEAN and G20 Summits, from November 10 to 16, 2014, will be Jokowis first attendance at international forums after his inauguration as the President on October 20.(*)
