Beijing (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated here on Monday that prospective investors should not harbor any concerns regarding land acquisition.

"I have experience with land acquisition," the president remarked during his presentation at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summits CEO Forum.

Addressing hundreds of corporate leaders, President Jokowi explained that he only had to conduct four meetings to fast track the land acquisition cases related to the construction of a toll road in Jakarta, which was stalled for several days.

In contrast to some of the heads of government who delivered a speech at the forum, President Jokowi preferred to make a presentation during which he shed light on the available business opportunities in Indonesia.

The president emphasized that Indonesia, as a large country, still offers numerous business opportunities in terms of ports, railways, energy, and the maritime toll road.

During his presentation, the president revealed precise figures about the targets to be achieved and what was necessary.

He also asserted that entrepreneurs should not worry about the licensing process as his government plans to reform it.

"We are waiting for you to come to Indonesia. We are waiting for you to invest in Indonesia," the president affirmed.

After delivering the presentation, President Jokowi was thronged by several CEOs who wanted to have a direct conversation with him.

In addition, President Jokowi, here on Monday, is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and US President Barack Obama on the sidelines of the APEC Summit.

After delivering an address at the APEC Summits CEO Forum, Jokowi will meet Abe for about 10 minutes. He will later meet Obama for around 45 minutes. Jokowi will be meeting Abe and Obama for the first time following his inauguration as Indonesias seventh president on October 20, 2014.

Earlier, President Jokowi will highlight the topic of maritime connectivity or sea toll road during the APEC Summits Forum in Beijing, on November 10-11, noted cabinet secretary Andi Widjajanto.

"(He would only speak) on maritime connectivity or sea toll road, which is only one of the components of the maritime axis," he remarked on the sidelines of a series of APEC meetings here on Sunday evening.

He pointed out that connectivity was one of the proposals put forth by Indonesia as the host of the APEC summit in 2013.

He emphasized that in the coming three years, the Indonesian government planned to develop 24 seaports, and four of them would be implemented in 2015.

He said the government is currently seeking to combine the sea toll road with Chinas 21st Century Silk Road.

With regard to the conditions in the South East China Sea, Andi stated that, in principle, the Indonesian government would urge the parties involved to adhere to the DOC (Declaration on Conduct of Parties) and COC (ASEANs Code of Conduct).

Indonesia following the Non-Block tradition would thus be at the center as an axis, he noted.

"Actually today, we have already been in the middle. Trade and energy, so far, has already passed through our waters. But, so far, we do not have adequate maritime infrastructure, and so, we have been used as a mere transit place. Big ships just pass through our waters and rely on the hubs in Singapore, Japan, and Australia," he pointed out.

He stated that in the future, Indonesia must become a key player and not merely a transit location.

With the presence of maritime connectivity, the existing hubs, so far, would be helped to avoid overcapacity, Andi remarked.

With regard to implementing the idea, he underlined cooperation with countries in the region such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, and the United States.
