According to Chief of the Information Service of Eastern Fleet Command Lieutenant Colonel Maman Sulaeman, the equipment required for the operation will be brought by two teams, one of them transporting the lifting bag on a CN-235 Navy aircraft.
In a press release received here on Friday, Maman stated that the first team of eight personnel led by Captain Saiful Apriyanto has left Juanda Navy Airbase on a CN-235.
The team is carrying two lifting bags with 35 tons capacity, three lifting bags with ten tons capacity, two lifting bags of 5 tons capacity, a lifting bag of 2 tons capacity, and four bags of 500 kilograms capacity.
Meanwhile, another team with seven personnel has departed from Ujung Surabaya Seaport on Indonesian Ship Ahmad Yani-351 led by Lieutenant Colonel Muhamad Riza.
The KRI will carry a high-pressure compressor to load two diving tubes and two units of MK-27 for deep-sea diving and a low-pressure compressor to load the lifting bag.
Ahmad Yani-315 will require 19 hours ETA to reach Pangkalan Bun Waters.
The officer said that after the tail is lifted to the surface, the team will use equipment such as crane and tongkang ship to evacuate the fuselage.
