"Let us together prevent violence, aggression, terrorism and extremism from spilling the blood of innocent people," Rouhani said addressing an Asian African summit meeting here on Wednesday.
Asian and African leaders gathered in Indonesia to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Asian African Conference (AAC), which was held in Bandung in 1955.
Rouhani said terrorism and extremism have spread widely to various countries in Asia and Africa.
"Terrorists and extremists, especially in Iraq and Iran have committed barbarism murdering innocent people on political motives destroying infrastructure of the two countries," he said.
He said the extremists and terrorists received logistics and financial as well as intelligence support from some international and regional players for illegal goals.
"Meanwhile, the sponsors ignore the fact that instability and crisis in a region would have impact on the whole world," he said.
Therefore, he called on all Asian African leaders to revive the Spirit of Bandung Ten principles that could avert conflict in the two continents.
"Even now the world is experiencing a big change, the value of the Ten Principles of Bandung should remain high in the agenda of global diplomacy," her added.
Indian Ambassador to Indonesia Gurjit Singh said the Ten Principles of Bandung provide a good solution to cope with and prevent conflicts in Asia and Africa.
"In the Indian point of view the best contribution of the AAC in 1955 is the Ten Principles of Bandung," Singh said, adding the Ten Principles are the best guideline in averting conflicts in Asia and Africa.
Therefore, he also called for the revival of the Bandung spirit of 1955 to cope with the problems besetting countries in Asia and Africa at present.
The Ten Principle of Bandung made up a ten point resolution of the AAC in Bandung in 1955 calling for global peace and cooperation.
The AAC in Bandung in 1955 had believed to inspire struggle for independence in Asia and Africa when the world was divided into sphere of influence of by two super powwers , the United State and the Soviet Union.
Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) opened the meeting earlier in the day saying the future of the world lies in the hands of Asia and Africa, thanks to their human resources and huge economic potentials.
Therefore, Asian and African countries need to establish cooperation, which will be able to transform the Asian and African regions into advanced and prosperous regions, Jokowi said.
"The present world is full of injustices. The new challenge is how to forge international cooperation based on justice and equality," he said.
He said a collective global leadership is needed to address the imbalances in the world both politically and economically.(*)
