This is tradition that we cannot abandon in the life of the nation and state ..."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) attended a fast-breaking gathering at the residence of House of Representatives (DPR) Chairman Setya Novanto in South Jakarta on Tuesday evening.
Also present were Vice President Jusuf Kalla, DPR leadership, leaders of state institutions and ministers.
Chairman of the Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party Prabowo Subianto, Golkar Party Chairman Aburizal Bakrie, Chairman of the Peoples Conscience (Hanura) Party Wiranto, Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan, Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Djan Faridz and Chairman of the Indonesian Unity (Perindo) Party Hary Tanoesoedibjo also attended the gathering.
In his address, Setya Novanto said the fast-breaking gathering this time reflected friendship among the countrys political elites.
"This is tradition that we cannot abandon in the life of the nation and state to forge unity and cohesion as well as mutual help in the interests of the Indonesian people," he said.
