The minister blamed a host of problems for the poor economic performance in the first half of the year.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State income in seven months reached only 43.8 percent of the target of Rp1,761.6 trillion for 2015, Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro said .
Income until Dec. 31 this year totaled only Rp771.4 trillion or less than half of the whole year target, Bambang told reporters here on Wednesday night.
Without specifying, the minister blamed a host of problems for the poor economic performance in the first half of the year.
He said tax revenues totaled only Rp621 trillion or 41.7 percent of the whole years target of Rp1,489.3 trillion including oil and gas income tax, value added tax and excises and duties.
Non tax revenues was better in performance reaching Rp1500.2 trillion or 55.8 percent of the target , and was higher than 53.3 percent in the same period in 2014.
The non tax income included dividend from state companies and other sectors.
The minister said state spending reached Rp913.5 trillion or 46 percent of the target of Rp1,984.1 trillion set for this year in the state budget.
The spending included by the central government expenditures and transfers to the regions and rural funds, he said.
Spending so far by the central government totaled Rp524.1 trillion nor 39.7 percent of the years target of Rp1,319.5 trillion.
"Capital spending is expected to increase in the coming months as process of auction has been wrapped up for big projects under a number of ministries and state agencies," Bambang said.
The process of organizational restructuring and nomenclature at a number of government agencies has also been completed, he said.
Meanwhile, transfers of budgets to the regions and rural funds already reached Rp389.3 trillion by July 31 or better than earlier.
With state income of Rp771.4 trillion and state spending of Rp913.5 trillion there was a deficit of Rp142 trillion (1.22 percent of the GDP) in state budget until July 31.(*)
