"The government and people of Indonesia express sympathy and extend deepest condolences to the people and government of Cameroon, particularly the families of the victims," Indonesias foreign ministry said here on Tuesday.
At least three suicide bombers blew themselves up at a market in northern Cameroon, a region often targeted by Nigerias Boko Haram, AFP quoted local officials as saying.
Police said the assailants hit a local market in Bodo village near the frontier with Nigeria in one of the deadliest attacks in the Far North region since 2013.
"The initial toll was reported as 32 dead and 86 wounded," regional governor Midjiyawa Bakari was quoted as saying by the AFP.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Embassy in Abuja stated that there had been no immediate report about whether or not Indonesian nationals were among the victims.
The embassy, however, continued to coordinate with relevant local authorities to seek further information.
According to the foreign ministry, a total of 17 Indonesian nationals work in Cameroon as professionals.
The Indonesian embassy also called on the countrys citizens in Cameroon to be more vigilant, avoid risk prone areas and continue to follow the developments locally.
