"We are optimistic because the funds for the 83.6-kilometer projects are now available," Joko Prabowo, Director III of Adhi Karya, said in a press statement here over the weekend.
He said that his company was developing the first Cibubur - Cawang construction section.
"The Cibubur - Cawang section is included in the first phase. We are in the progress of building the pillars along 14 km. We have to admit however that there is a small design review," he said.
He said work progress also had reached East Bakasi. Hopefully, construction stages would be completed in 2018.
Adhi Karya has obtained additional funds amounting to Rp2.75 trillion from a limited right issue. Of the funds, Rp1.40 trillion from state participation and Rp1.35 trillion from the public.
The right issue funds will be used to finance the construction of the LRT projects, their property supports and stations with a transit oriented development concept, including the park and ride facilities.
President Joko Widodo launched the commencement of the project on September 9, 2015.
The projects will be built in two phases. The first phase covered three ground plans, namely the sections of Cibubur-Cawang (13.7 km) and East Bekasi section (17.9 km).
The second phase consists of 41.5 km covering the sections of Cibubur-Bogor, Dukuh Atas-Palmerah-Senayan and Palmerah-Grogol.(*)
