"I have received a report that it is true (that he has been questioned). He has come for the third time," Attorney General HM Prasetyo said here on Friday.
The questioning this time was aimed to further investigate the management of grants from 2009 to 2014, he said.
"No suspect has been named in the case. We are still investigating it," he said.
During the previous round of questioning, investigators of the Attorney Generals Office had raised questions to Governor Alex Noerdin about the policy and procedure of receiving grants and social assistance worth Rp2.1 trillion over the period.
"We questioned him on policy and procedure. We also sought information from him regarding matters he knew and had approved," Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes Arminsyah stated on Thursday.
However, he added that nobody had been named a suspect in the alleged graft case.
"Nobody has been named a suspect, and our investigators are still questioning him," he added.(*)
