We are also in constant contact with the representative of the company."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Several U.S. companies have expressed a keen interest in expanding their businesses in Indonesias construction and mineral mining sectors, according to the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).
BKPM chief Franky Sibarani, in a press statement released on Saturday (June 25), confirmed that a US company will take part in infrastructure development in the country.
"The US outward investment is the highest, only a small part of it comes to Indonesia. However, we are optimistic about it, and signs are there that US companies are evincing more investment interest in Indonesia. Therefore, the BKPM, through its representative office in New York, will continue to encourage such an interest. We will help them to ensure their needs are met," he informed.
The US firm, through its representative office to be set up in Indonesia, will conduct market research in the country as part of its efforts to expand its business, he mentioned.
He explained that the BKPMs representative office (IIPC) in New York has briefed the US firm regarding online licensing system and integrated one stop service in Indonesia, so that the American company has a clear picture of how to invest in the country.
"The company has asked how to get involved in infrastructure projects in Indonesia. Our representative in New York has explained various aspects. We are also in constant contact with the representative of the company," he stated.
