Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Indonesia Rosan Roeslani is confident that Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati will make the tax amnesty policy program a success.

"We all really laud the appointment of Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, and hopefully, this policy (tax amnesty) will be better," Rosan stated after attending INDEFs discussion at the Trilogy University, Jakarta, on Wednesday.

With Mulyanis return to the Indonesian cabinet, Rosan hoped the government will be able to achieve the set tax revenue target and to materialize the repatriation of funds although they are tough challenges.

"Hopefully, the tax amnesty policy can be successful as the target set by the government is quite aggressive, so it will be a challenge as well," he remarked.

Rosan welcomed the return of Mulyani as finance minister, taking into account her performance and achievements in the field of economy.

Mulyani was appointed as finance minister during a reshuffle, replacing Bambang Brodjonegoro. Bambang was appointed as minister for national development planning and head of the National Development Planning Board.

Mulyani had earlier held the posts of managing director and chief operating officer at the World Bank for six years since 2010. Before being appointed as the director of World Bank, Mulyani also once served as finance minister in the government of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono during the 2005-2010 period.
