Ambassador of Morocco Mohamed Majdi made the statement on the occasion to mark the 17th anniversary of King Mohammed VIs accession to the throne here on Saturday night (July 30).
Ambassador Majdi noted that the relations between Indonesia and Morocco had seen good progress.
"In addition to the bilateral relations between Indonesia and Morocco, the Surabaya provincial government has cooperated with the Rabbat administration. This is a concrete example of cooperation between countries and a perfect illustration of South-South Cooperation," Majdi remarked.
Morocco and Indonesia could share their experiences of implementing the South-South Cooperation with other countries.
The ambassador emphasized that Morocco and Indonesia continued to strengthen bilateral relations.
"The sound relations have been the basis for bilateral cooperation," the ambassador remarked.
Furthermore, he affirmed that the cooperation should be based on mutual respect and the values of moderate Islam.
Starting this year, Majdi noted that Morocco and Indonesia will intensify cooperation in several fields.
"In addition, the Indonesian-Moroccan Friendship Group will visit Morocco to promote parliamentary diplomacy," the ambassador pointed out.(*)
