"The government of Indonesia offers sympathy and condolences to the government and people of Egypt, especially for the victims and their family," Arrmanatha Nasir, the spokesperson of Indonesias foreign ministry, said in a short message received here on Monday.
At least 49 others were also injured in the bomb blast during Sunday mass inside the Coptic church in Abbasiyah, in Cairo.
President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi declared national mourning after the attack, and described the bombing as a "terrorist act" that has no place in Egypt.
According to Lalu Muhammad Iqbal, director of Indonesian Citizens and Legal Entities Protection at the foreign ministry, there is no information yet on whether any Indonesian nationals are among the victims.
Iqbal said there were 5,513 Indonesians living in Egypt, most of them in Cairo and its neighboring areas.
The Indonesian Embassy in Cairo has called on all Indonesian nationals in Egypt to obey local regulations and avoid public places.
The embassy will keep in touch with Egyptian authorities to monitor the situation.
