"He would face the risk for what he had done. But he would do better by not trying to hide anything if there are others involved," Prasetyo said.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Attorney General HM Prasetyo has said he would not seek to intervene in the case of Eko Susilo Hadi, a prosecutor working for the countrys coast guard Bakamla, arrested by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on charge of receiving bribe.
"He would face the risk for what he had done. But he would do better by not trying to hide anything if there are others involved," Prasetyo said here on Friday.
Eko Susilo Hadi, who is a prosecutor assigned to Bakamla as acting main secretary of the agency, was caught red handed by KPK receiving Rp2 billion as a kickback in the tender for the procurement of a Rp200 billion surveillance satellite.
Prasetyo advised Eko Susilo to offer himself as justice collaborator.
"He should not keep mum. He should help in bringing the case to the open. Be a justice collaborator," Prasetyo said.
KPK said it was confident Eko Susilo was not alone in the Bakamla involved in the case.
KPK said the Rp2 billion bribe is part of Rp15 billion promised by the winner of the allegedly rigged tender, PT Melati Technofo Indonesia (MTI).
KPK has also arrested the briber Fahmi Darmawansyah, the president director of PT PT Melati Technofo Indonesia (MTI), and his two employees Muhammad Adami Okta and Hardy Stefanus, all nabbed at the same time in the same place.(*)
