"The prices are valid for the entire region of Indonesia," said Vice President, Corporate Communications, Pertamina Wianda Pusponegoro in a written statement, received here on Friday.
She explained that the increase in fuel prices were in response to developments in the gasoline market price index.
Moreover, she continued, the price change is also a response to the weakening of the rupiah by 0.7 percent in the same period.
After the increase, the price of Pertalite was set at Rp7.050 per liter; Pertamax, Rp7.750 per liter; and Dexlite, Rp6.900 per liter.
The prices of Pertamax Plus, Pertamax Turbo, and Pertamina Dex have not changed.
Wianda added that Pertalites market share up to November 2016 had reached 32 percent, while Pertamax had reached 19 percent, and Premium shrank to 45 percent. The remaining market share went to Pertamax Turbo.
"We will maintain the level of competitiveness of Pertaminas products with regard to quality and price," Wianda stressed.(*)
