Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Vice President Jusuf Kalla views state oil company Pertaminas share as more important than the "Saudi Arabian Oil Company," better known as Aramco.

"It is just a global offering, and I think only one or two would be interested, but for us, it is better to buy Pertaminas share than Aramcos," the vice president remarked at a press conference at the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport here on Saturday.

According to Kalla, it was natural for Saudi Arabia to offer Aramcos share, as one of the objectives of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al Sauds visit to Asia is to realize the countrys economic vision by 2030.

The vice president further remarked that the Indonesian government will firstly focus on investment in the country.

"I think the king will speak a lot on Aramco in China and Japan," Kalla noted, adding that after visiting Indonesia, King Salman will also embark on a trip to Brunei Darussalam, Japan, China, and Maldives.

The vice president made the statement after bidding farewell to King Salman who departed from the Hali Perdanakusuma Airport for Seribegawan Airport, Brunei Darussalam.

King Salman is on a half-day visit to Brunei and will then leave for a vacation in Bali until Mar 9.

On Friday night, Kalla had held a closed-door meeting with King Salman at the Raffles Hotel in Jakarta.

Vice President Kallas spokesman Husain Abdullah pointed out that during the meeting, King Salman had reiterated his commitment to implementing all cooperation agreements inked by the two countries.

During his visit to Jakarta on March 1-4, the governments of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia had signed 10 cooperation agreements during a bilateral meeting between President Joko Widodo and King Salman at the Bogor Palace in Bogor, West Java Province, on Wednesday.

The bilateral cooperation covered the areas of culture, health, the improvement of status of bilateral mechanisms, Islamic affairs, science education, technology, marine affairs and fisheries, handling of cross-border crime, flight services, small and medium enterprises, and trade.(*)
