"We discussed the follow-up of President Joko Widodos recent visit to Sydney," she said.
One of the issues discussed by the two ministers was efforts to increase economic cooperation between Indonesia and Australia.
They also exchanged views on how the two countries can advance the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Indonesia and Australia.
Also being discussed at the meeting was a digital economic conference which is planned to be held in Bandung, West Java.
Minister Bishop said the Australian government would send minister of trade, tourism and investment along with a business delegation to Indonesia as part of efforts to increase two-way investment between the two countries.
"Besides that, we will also discuss tourism with regard to making more Australian tourists to come to Indonesia and also more Indonesian tourists to come to Australia," she said.
After the meeting, Minister Bishop was invited to a dinner with a number of foreign ministers and high-ranking officials from member countries of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA).
Minister Retno Marsudi is scheduled to lead the IORA ministerial-level meeting on Monday along with Minister Julie Bishop and South African foreign minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.(*)
