Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno L.P. Marsudi received four certificates of ISO 9001:2015 from the British Standards Institution (BSI) for quality management service standards applied by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Education and Training Center.

The four certificates were received by the Indonesian Foreign Minister during the commemoration of the 72nd Anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as stated in a press statement received by ANTARA here on Tuesday.

The four certificates were awarded by BSI to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for quality management service standards applied by the Foreign Affairs Official School, Foreign Service Staff School, Foreign Affairs for Staffs and Officials School, and the Indonesian Language and Cultures Promotion/Introduction for Foreign Diplomats Education and Training Center.

The ISO 9001:2015 certificate is valid for three years from 2017 to 2020. BSI will annually evaluate the compliance of the quality standard applied by the Education and Training Center.

The certification is an external recognition for the centers service management quality in accordance with the BSI standards, which emphasizes on the aspect of continuous improvement of service quality.

Furthermore, Marsudi handed over the four certificates to the Head of the Foreign Ministrys Education and Training Center, Eko Hartono.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification is expected to be part of the centers efforts to achieve national and international accreditation and certification. (*)
