She visited the Main Stadium Bung Karno Stadium, along with the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, to inspect the construction of the sports area that will be used for Asian Games 2018.
Mulyani noted that the sports arena in Gelora Bung Karno will be a valuable state asset for people. Several trees will also be planted in the area.
The government will plant grasses and trees in the main stadium hall area.
Indonesia has allotted a budget of Rp132 billion to renovate Istora Senayan Stadium and Rp700 billion for Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
"We will prepare an additional fund to meet the additional needs in 2018," Mulyani remarked.
The ministry has coordinated with several institutions, such as Public Works and Housing Ministry, the Youth and Sports Ministry, and INASGOC, for the funding.
"We hope that all parties would utilize the funds wisely and not misuse them, as the Asian Games is the event of the people," Mulyani revealed.
