Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Vice President Jusuf Kalla has instructed the saving of hajj pilgrimage funds in Saudi Arabia, Anggito Abimanyu, a member of Hajj Finance Management Body (BPKH), said here on Friday.

Investment in Saudi Arabia would be highly profitable in Saudi Arabia with many umrah pilgrims from Indonesia, Anggito Abimanyu said.

"The instruction of Vice President Jusuf Kalla to invest in Saudi Arabia is based on the high return and to be safe from the risk of fall in exchange rate, especially as there are many umrah pilgrims from Indonesia," Anggito said.

He said currently saving of hajj fund totaled around Rp102.5 trillion

"The fund could be invested in Saudi Arabia or in Indonesia but our focus is Saudi Arabia," he said.
