"Yes, the victim was found hanged at 8:30 p.m local time, but I Wayan Wela, the homeowner who was going to collect the rents was shocked to see the victim dead at the back yard of the house," head of the Kuta Selatan Police sector, police commissioner, Nengah Patrem said in Kuta.
Patrem said that the homeowner immediately reported the incident to Kuta Selatan Police office at 2:00 p.m., and a police team then went to the scene along with members of the local police office.
"Now, we have been at the scene, we searched and asked for witness testimony and several officers immediately installed the police line and conducted further investigation,".
According to witnesses, I Wayan Wela claimed his house was rented by Ibu Tati who came from Bandung and also claimed to be the victim`s wife. However, in last few months Ibu Tati who contracted the witness`s house did not live in the house.
On July 1, 2018, at 11:30 pm, the witness came to the victim to again collect Rp5 million, shortfall of the contract and told the victim if he (victim) had no money and failed to pay, the witness will report the case to the police.
The witness then summoned the victim and the victim did not answer, then the witness looked to the rear door and saw the victim hanging.
