Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Moroccan Embassy in Indonesia celebrateds the 19th anniversary of the enthronement of the country`s King Mohammed VI by holding a reception in Jakarta, Monday evening.

In his opening speech, Moroccan Ambassador to Indonesia Ouadia Benabdellah expressed his excitement for the thriving relationship between Indonesia and Morocco, especially in 2018.

This year, both countries are exploring more potentials in their relationship, especially in the trade sector as the Moroccan government signed two Memoranda of Understanding with the Indonesian Chambers of Commerce.

Morocco also participated in the Indonesia-Africa Forum held last April.

"I am excited for this partnership to go further and achieve the best results," he said, adding that both countries are looking at a better future for bilateral relations and that his government is ready to promote stronger cooperation with Indonesia.

"Morocco and Indonesia share more than just one kind of relationship. Both countries have ties in history, religious relations and politics, human values and other connections," he added.

Morocco`s King Mohammed VI was enthroned in 1999, following the death of his father, King Hassan II. He is known for his social reform movements as well as strategies that enhanced the country`s economy.
