"After the Asian Games is over, the administrators and management of sports must continue to utilize the sports facilities and infrastructure properly," Sports and Youth Affairs Ministry Deputy for Sports Achievement Improvement Mulyana remarked when contacted here on Sunday.
He noted that after the Asian Games is over, all facilities and infrastructure must remain a training ground for athletes. Thus, infrastructure or sports facilities that have been built are not left idle, or abandoned.
"It is a pity if all the facilities and infrastructure, built for the 2018 Asian Games, are only used for this event only, and then are not used any more," Mulyana said.
According to him, all the infrastructure and facilities that have been built can be used as learning centers for athletes to produce better achievements in the future.
"All of these facilities must be used as learning material for athletes and also sports administrators to practice more seriously, so that the achievements can be better," said Mulyana.
Further, he called on the entire community to continue to provide support for the athletes, and spur their enthusiasm for achievement to compete well in the Asian Games.
"Moreover, Indonesia as the host, of course, the support from the community is needed for the athletes so that their performance can be maximized and can make Indonesia proud," Mulyana said.
