Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian National Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC) is collaborating with the online shopping site, Blibli.com, as a ticket sales distribution channel following service issues at Kiostix.com.

"We are fully committed to the success of the 2018 Asian Games and to finding solutions to any problems that arise," INASGOC Chairman Erick Thohir remarked, in a written statement received in Jakarta on Friday.

KiosTix, as the 18th Asian Game ticket sales partner, including for the opening and closing ceremony, and for matches, faced problems, at least since Wednesday, when it was not accessible by prospective buyers of Indonesian men`s soccer matches against Palestine.

Erick said the addition of the Asian Games ticket sales distribution channel through Blibli.com provides wider access to people who want to attend the world`s second largest sporting event.

Meanwhile, KiosTix President Director Ade Sulistioputra said the access constraints faced by prospective buyers of tickets to the kiostix.com site was due to the surge caused by high demand for ticket purchases for matches and opening ceremonies.

"We hope that the addition of a number of distribution points can answer the problem of high data traffic, because public enthusiasm is also high," Ade said.

INASGOC ensures the purchase of 2018 Asian Games tickets can be made through two distribution channels, due to the presence of Blibli.com as one of the selling agents.

Hence, prospective buyers of Asian Games tickets can access Blibli.com online, in addition to direct sales through the Alfamart store network.

KiosTix, as the official ticket sales partner, stated that the exchange of electronic vouchers for the opening ceremony of the 2018 Asian Games can be done at Door 7 of the Bung Karno Complex (GBK), in addition to the KioskTix office on Jalan Pejaten Barat No. 6, South Jakarta.
