"We apologize for any obstacles and problems in the implementation, and we will move quickly to overcome this," Sjamsoeddin told reporters during a review at the 2018 Asian Games Main Press Center (MPC) in the Jakabaring area of Palembang City.
During his visit to the MPC, the former Jakarta Metropolitan Military Commander was accompanied by South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin and a number of other INASGOC officials.
According to him, the shortcomings and obstacles that occur in the organization, such as related to accommodation, food, and transportation, will continue to be overcome in harmony, so that it does not interfere with the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang.
He stated that he continued to make improvements. In some cases, he noted that INASGOC made a direct response while looking for a solution.
"Hopefully, what we have done can help improve the existing problems," he added.
The same thing was also expressed by Noerdin, who also made improvements to the implementation of the Asian Games.
On that occasion, the number one person in South Sumatra will also take steps to mobilize spectators to the 13 match arenas at Jakabaring Sport City. His party has also prepared two locations for community entertainment, which are linked to the holding of the 2018 Asian Games, in the areas of Dekranasda Building and in Benteng Kuto Besak.
"If the audience is quiet, the community and students will be mobilized to watch the game," he remarked.
Meanwhile, PB Chairperson Pelti Rildo Ananda Anwar praised INASGOC`s response to taking quick steps, one of which was related to lodging prioritized athletes from other countries in athletes` houses.
"We have to prioritize the lodgings of athletes from other countries. That`s the right decision and I thank INASGOC," Rildo told reporters.
During a visit to the 2018 MPC Asian Games at the Jakabaring Sriwijaya Promotion Center Building, Sjafrie reviewed the facilities provided to the reporters, checked the reliability of internet capacity, and reviewed supporting tools for broadcasting.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chair, together with the Governor of South Sumatra and the group, conducted a review on a number of arenas at Jakabaring Sport City using a golfcar.
