The legacies are the first Asian Games torch, the first Asian Games flag and the flag of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).
On that occasion, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan handed over the first Asian Games torch, South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin handed the first Asian Games flag, and INASGOC Deputy Chief Executive Officer Puan Maharani returned the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) flag to OCA`s President Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah.
Furthermore, the three legacies were handed over to two Chinese representatives, namely, the Mayor of Hangzhou, Xu Liyi, and the Chair of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (HAGOC).
The handover of the inheritances is a sign of the holding of the 2022 Asian Games which will be held in Hangzhou, China.
After the handover of the three legacies of the Asian Games, the Chinese flag was raised.
Hangzhou, which is the capital of Zhejiang Province in the east of China, has previously launched a logo for the 2022 Asian Games. The logo is a wave containing symbols of various elements.
The logo, which is called surging tides represents six elements, namely, the Chinese fan, the Qiantang River, the waves from the river to the sea, the running track, the internet icon and the red sun rays which are contained in the Asian Olympic Council (OCA) symbol.
