Pangkalan Bun, C Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - Two foreign tourists and a tour guide have reportedly gone missing in the Tanjung Puting National Park (TNTP) in Central Kalimantan Province since Monday.

"They had witnessed (our workers) feeding orangutans. However, until yesterday evening, they had not returned to the Pondok Tanggui Camp in TNTP. A team (of officers) are still trying to find them," TNTP Chief Helmi stated here on Tuesday.

Chief of the Travel Agents Association (ASITA) Thomas Sari Wuwur believed the two tourists and tour guide are still in the forest in the Pondok Tanggul Camp.

He said they had most likely taken an unusual route to return to the Pondok Pinang Camp. Moreover, the tour guide has only thrice escorted tourists in the national park.

"We have sent (a person) to the scene to obtain information about the missing tourists. Who belongs to the motorboat carrying the tourists to travel there?" he added.
