Jakarta, (ANTARA News) - Indonesian badminton player Anthony Sinisuka Ginting advanced to the men`s single finals of China Open 2018 after beating Chou Tien Chen of Taiwan in the semifinals in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China, on Saturday.

Ginting beat Chou 12-21, 21-17, 21-15 in 68 minutes of the Super 1000 tournament match, according to the Badminton World Federation (BWD) in its official website monitored on Saturday.

The victory was in retaliation for his defeat to the world`s fifth seeded player in the Asian Games 2018. Ginting, who is ranked 13th, lost to Chou 21-16, 21-23, and 17-21 in the men`s semifinals of the Asian Games 2018.

"I do not want the failure in the Asian Games to be repeated again. I would study my game in the Asian Games. I would try to enjoy the game and control my mind," he noted after winning the quarterfinals on Friday, as quoted in the official website of the Indonesian badminton Association (PBSI).

This is Ginting`s fourth victory against Chou in the six matches since Taiwan Open 2014.

In the China Open 2018 finals scheduled for Sunday (Sept 23), Ginting will take on the winner of the match between Kento Momota of Japan and host player Shi Yuqi.
