"The minister was present to provide an overview of innovation related to the development of the industrial age 4.0," Unhas Chancellor Prof. Dwiah Aries Tina Pulubuhu stated in Makassar on Saturday.
Students, academics, and the general public were present during the scientific oration delivered by the minister at Prof. Amiruddin`s Hall, Faculty of Medicine of Unhas Tamalanrea campus.
On the occasion, the communication and information minister emphasized that the government, under the leadership of President Joko Widodo, was currently incessantly campaigning for the industrial revolution 4.0.
This is in line with the focus of development directed at industry 4.0 that demands digital literacy capabilities.
In connection with this, he noted that it continued to encourage higher education to make a breakthrough, so that later, college alumni can adapt to the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era.
In future, digital literacy, such as "remote surgery" digital operations in the medical field, robotic manufacturing, and autonomous cars, will be spread in industrial areas.
All this should be introduced in universities, so it is not difficult to adapt while on the field.
